My Pedigree


Been married close to 14 years now however, Vern and I still find things to torment one another. That's a good sign, I think? Our family is blended that includes five children: Darcy, Niki, James, Amanda, and Samantha. Two are married, two are in the "significant other" stage, and one is still single. I hope so, the child's far too young! We also have five grandchildren: Ethan, Tristan, Neleigh, Jack and Sara.

My husband, Vern works as a wine maker, a position that includes: computer tech, purchasing agent, inventory control, photographer, and farmer. His enjoys photography, flintknapping, growing fruit trees, and wine/beer/cheese making. He loves to cook too!!  A big plus to me - I hate cooking.

I am an entrepreneur and recently added to my credits - writing. I'm growing some walnuts, hazelnuts, and almonds, which will produce in five years. Also, a boutique winery's in the planning. In the meantime, I stay busy with writing book reviews. My virtual assistant business is still around, too. I just joined a local group, Goose Festival Committee celebrating the annual Canadian geese influx. A parade opens the festivities that leads to carnival rides, art shows, car show, and other enjoyable events. I have taken on the Kid's Talent Show and writing some article for their newspaper.

This web site, and me, reside in southwestern Michigan about 1 1/2 miles from Lake Michigan. We live on 10 acres of lush farmland, nestled in a quiet farm community. I love it. The nut trees share the land with Promise, our mixed breed horse. Around the house you will find our chickens, two cats Snickers and Leo, and Alex a black lab.
